Biking Opportunities in Yosemite:

  • Yosemite Valley Loop Trail: This 11.5-mile loop provides a leisurely ride through the valley, showcasing some of Yosemite’s most famous sights.

  • Bike Rentals: For those without personal bikes, rentals are available at Curry Village, Yosemite Village, and Yosemite Valley Lodge. These services operate on a first-come, first-served basis.

Regulations to Consider:

  • Permitted Areas: Bicycles are allowed on paved roads and designated bike paths. However, off-trail riding, mountain biking, and the use of motorized scooters on bike paths are not permitted.

  • Safety Measures: Helmets are required for riders under 18 and are recommended for all. Cyclists should adhere to park speed limits and be cautious of pedestrians and wildlife.

Alternative Biking Experiences:

While Yosemite Valley offers a serene biking environment, those seeking guided e-biking tours can explore the scenic routes in Mariposa County. Yosemite E-Biking provides tours through the Sierra foothills, rich with Gold Rush history and breathtaking landscapes. These tours offer an opportunity to experience the region's beauty beyond the boundaries of the national park.
